Standing beside the fountain in her flip flops and long skirt it frilled and flowed around her ankles framing them it was a picture worth remembering in the moonlight.
Her hair now red gleamed to brightly, it spoke of the early days. The unruly punk.
It was then I realized I was in love with her...
She didn’t see me walking up from behind in my swimming gear.
We had been talking on the phone since she had come back to Cornwall and her voice still sounded the same and her face was paler... More beautiful.
I was walking around the fountain towards her and sat down beside her... she was busy looking for that distant person in the clearing… preoccupied with thoughts.
I stood and faced her I held out my hand. She saw me then her smile took me off guard, there was no hello or hi there was just a jump and she was in my arms squeezing the death out of me. My arms couldn’t help but surround her. It was only after feeling her knowing she missed me, that I felt how much I missed her…
She was always mine. She always made me laugh, smile, happy.
She was always smaller than me I didn’t expect that to change I kissed her head and smiled down at her… her eyes poured all her words into me…
